Nutrient Stewardship: Challenging and Rewarding

We'd like to thank our members who have made a stalwart effort this fall to promote the proper timing of application for both dry fertilizer and ammonia.  The strong demand for dry fertilizer we've seen sets the stage for less likelihood for demand after the ground freezes and it snows, so that is looking good.  And when it comes to fall applied nitrogen, your efforts to keep the custom rigs parked has been nothing short of amazing--thank you!  There are a few instances where customer demand could not be swayed by the 4R message, but it wasn't for lack of trying on your part and that's what the 4R Pledge is all about--education and effort.  We want you to know as well that for every call we get at IFCA from someone expressing concern about application, we get calls and emails from others (including water officials and regulators) who notice our efforts and express their thanks so we are passing that on to you. As cooler temps finally arrive, please be safe and call us if you need any assistance.
