House Speaker Michael Madigan convened a rare Committee of the Whole to air our complaints, concerns and (presumably) support for Gov. Bruce Rauner’s call for reform of the Illinois workers compensation system, which Rauner says is slanted against business.

The House won’t be voting on a bill as in a normal session. Instead, it will hear testimony about the issue from witnesses and allow House members to ask questions.
