Get Well Senator Frank Watson

Last week Illinois State Senator Frank Watson (R-Greenville) suffered a minor stroke while campaigning in southern Illinois.  His prognosis is very hopeful for a full recovery.  Senator Watson is currently the Senate Minority Leader, and is the only true "downstate" legislator who is one of the "four tops" in leadership.  He meets regularly with House Speaker Madigan, House Minority Leader Tom Cross and Senate President Emil Jones as they work to negotiate major issues with the Governor.  Senator Watson has always been a solid and hardworking friend to the agricultural industry and IFCA, never missing our legislative breakfast and working hard to keep agriculture a priority in Illinois (which hasn't been easy these last few years.)  We wish Senator Watson a speedy and full recovery, because we desperately need people of his caliber to help represent downstate.  If you would like to send him a get well note he can be reached at 1355A South State Route 127, Greenville IL  62246.
