Responsible Ag Program - Kick Off and Auditor Training

Last week was a big week for the new Responsible Ag stewardship program.  A new ag retail facility that RA will use to train auditors was christened in Owensboro, KY and was donated to the program by IFCA member Crop Production Services.  The training facility is appropriately named after retired TFI President Ford B. West, who attended the kick-off event.  Following the kick-off, the Asmark Institute, whose team developed the RA website and auditor training program for RA, conducted the first 4 day training course to credential RA auditors.  Click here for the latest news from Responsible Ag.  Registration in the RA program begins on December 1, 2014 and any facility that stores or handles bulk fertilizer is asked to register and support the compliance and stewardship principles that define the program.  IFCA will provide more information on how this new national fertilizer and ag retail program will engage with IFCA members at the IFCA convention on January 22, 2015.  In the meantime if you have any questions about RA, including if you may be interested or know someone who may want to become a RA auditor, please give Jean or KJ a call.
