2025 Pesticide Container Recycling Program
The Illinois Department of Agriculture annually partners with several segments of the agrichemical industry to operate a plastic pesticide container-recycling program. The 2025 recycling program will host single-day collection sites at ag retail facilities throughout the state. At these collection sites, they will only accept high-density polyethylene (HDPE) #2 plastic agrichemical containers that are clean and dry. Instructions for container rinsing to be done prior to recycling and for container preparations for intermediate bulk and mini-bulk containers can be found here.
