This week, IFCA President KJ Johnson delivered a presentation at the Illinois Nutrient Loss Reduction Strategy Annual Partnership Conference in Champaign. This meeting convenes key stakeholders from across the state to evaluate the progress of Illinois’ nutrient loss reduction efforts and to discuss ongoing initiatives to enhance water quality.

 

KJ provided an update on the Illinois Ag Retail Survey, an initiative led by IFCA. The anonymous survey invites participation from IFCA members and serves as a valuable tool for tracking the adoption of conservation practices and quantifying nutrient loss reductions. This system allows our members to tell our own story of progress and why the current voluntary agricultural framework is working.
